Hey everyone,
So it turns out I am awful with aquariums. Maybe that’s not fair – several long time aquarium owning friends have told me that the first few batches of fish rarely turn out well, it’s better to go with small numbers. Hey everyone,
AKA “Everything you never knew you wanted to know about a planetary binary system containing a figure eight orbit”
“Gio” asked if a binary star system could exist in which a planet orbited both stars in a figure eight pattern. The answer is yes, with some interesting day/night cycle consequences. I thought someone might be interested in hearing about them. To begin with I do not know of any planetary systems like this currently discovered. Please inform me if you do. Hey everyone,
The current theme isn’t sufficiently minimal for my tastes, but it provides me with the features I want. I was originally trying to find a new theme but have decided to further modify this one, having failed to find any that I really liked. Although I feel I could probably make one from scratch now, that’s an undertaking that requires more time than I have to spare. The one thing that’s driving me particularly insane right now is trying to figure out why the spacing is different for listed items in the two columns. While I’m making modifications you may experience the occasional glitch or the theme might change completely temporarily.

Hey everyone,
In keeping with tradition the upgrade to version 8.0 of the site opened the door for a bevy of small changes. There are two changes the average visitor will notice. On is that I now crosspost to Facebook and the other is the “random quotes” widget in the right column. These changes are sufficient to warrant a version increase, to 8.1. What can I say, I’m generous with versions.
