Movie reviews

Hey everyone,

Since we moved I’ve been close to a theatre (for the first time in ages). I’ve actually started watching movies sometimes. Usually I don’t bother talking about entertainment, but you should seriously go see the new Batman movie. The story is clever, the actors do a good job (for the most part – there’s the occasional cheesy line) and the characters are unique and compelling. Continue reading “Movie reviews”

Foreign Aid, Robots

Hey everyone,

In class today we went off on a tangent and discussed foreign aid by wealthy nations. The Professor was wondering how they ranked, etc. I googled it and came across this interesting tool. Keep in mind that it does not have a list of statistics and they’re rating it based on their own scale. However it’s a well respected institution and widely cited, so it’s not terrible. Either way I found pretty cool. Japan is doing exceptionally poorly, but rocked Technology (we and France still beat them though) – not surprising, given their love of robots and gadgets. Good weekend

Hey everyone,

On Saturday my cousin was visiting my sister, so I dropped by too. We decided to go tubing down a river. All the tubes were rented and we gave up after waiting around for an hour. Repairs complete

Hey everyone,

The crossposter has been fixed (an update compatible with 2.5 was released) and I have installed a Wordbook plugin/application since Facebook is apparently too incompetent to import from an RSS Feed. Try focusing on getting useful technical features working instead of opening the floodgates on stupid garbage, guys.

New shelves

Tag: GeneralNicholas Guindon @ 22:20

Hey everyone,

Today the bookcases and window blinds arrived, completing the basement. I’m going to get some sort of cabinet for the bathroom, but that’s a “when I feel like it” project. One of the poles for the blinds will be shipped later (I guess they only had two in stock?), so I have one uncovered window left. They’re simple frilly things, good for privacy without blocking sunlight. The bedroom one is a little darker. Continue reading “New shelves”
