I think our new neighbourhood is accident-prone. When we first moved in the neighbour’s son was locked out of his house. He hadn’t told his folks about a half-day at school and didn’t have his key with him. I later learned that his dad, usually at home, had gone out to do some errands. The people setting up our appliances before our furniture was moved in told me he was crying on his porch. I gave him some fruit punch and we chatted for a while. I contacted the cops because I had no idea how long the dad would be gone. They got there and the kid didn’t know his phone number, so they brought him back to his school. It’s been quiet since class ended. My cousin has been working and learning English in London (Ontario) for the summer so he came over for a visit twice. Hey everyone,
One more class is done. Yesterday I handed in my final essay. September 3rd is the first day of Fall courses. Believe it or not I’m actually feeling like shit lately. It’s struck me that I’ve only got one more year left of University – with only 5 courses to boot (one full year and two additional per semester). I never could have imagined myself feeling bad about school ending a few years ago. Elementary and high school were absolute disasters. At the time I considered University an unpleasant but necessary process for achieving a good life. Kind of like banana flavoured medicine (disgusting stuff). Continue reading “Phil 4150″
