About
I first began creating websites in January 2006, when I found out that York University provided free web hosting to students. I figured it would be an interesting thing to learn and quickly found it to be an enjoyable challenge. Eventually York’s webhosting, while useful for simple webpages, was insufficient to continue learning. The old York Student site can be found here (it just automatically redirects to the homepage now, though). New things are constantly being experimented with, most commonly in the /test/ directory. Site development and experimentation is documented in the blog. Special thanks to the following people for their help in the beginning:

Version 7.7 – Gallery3 RC1 installed.
September 2009
Version 7.6 – For the first time since the beginning of this about file, entries were lost. This month I destroyed my site and, while a recent backup was available, this about page wasn’t among the latest files. I had to make do with an older copy. I switched to BlueHost webhosting December 2008.
March 2008
Version 7.5 – WordPress 2.5 released, moved to it’s own subdirectory, remains the front page (should have been like that all along). Significant streamlining changes made to theme code, should run more quickly.
February 2008
Version 7.4 – New blog theme “stardust”.
January 2008
Version 7.3 – Wiki quote database (QDB) installed, Forum reinstalled (phpBB3 released), various updates performed.
October 2007
Version 7.2 – Learned what I needed and got rid of the forum.
Version 7.1 – WordPress theme “Dark City” installed and tweaked, wiki rendered obsolete and removed. Forum upgraded to phpBB3 Release Candidate.
September 2007
Version 7.0 – Eradication of “from scratch” website, WordPress blog now used as main index.
August 2007
Version 6.1 – Updated all the services.
February 2007
Version 6.0 – Code efficiency massively improved. [index.php : 26 lines]
Version 5.3 – Visual theme, “M82″, created.
Version 5.2 – Code streamlined considerably to be compatible with a planned advanced visual theme. [index.php : estimated 100 lines]
Version 5.1 – Navigation bar redesigned.
Version 5.0 – Code rewritten from ground up. One quarter the size of version 4.0 with superior functionality.
January 2007
Version 4.4 – Some important visual and coding changes to Gallery, phpBB2. [index.php : estimated 600 lines]
Version 4.3 – Added Wiki (not yet live to public)
Version 4.2 – Replaced Coppermine Photo Album with Gallery
Version 4.1 – Replaced Vanilla Forum with phpBB2

Acquired GoDaddy web hosting this month.
Version 3.4 – More consistent visual theme throughout website, some university content and an about page added
